Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori to chair Coast Parliamentary group

 Nairobi,KENYA:Coast members of parliamentary have  settled on Mswambweni member of parliamentary Suleiman Dori as elected parliamentary  chair of the coastal parliamentary group .

In a media briefing at parliamentary buildings led by Bura member of parliament Ali Wario, the MP’s  said that following the consultative meeting held on Tuesday by the  legislators it was agreed upon that Dori will be the chair of the group  in  a bid to drive the agenda of Coastal residents in the house of legislation.

Dori will be deputized by Member of parliament  for Galole   Said Hirbae  while the  Kilifi senator Stewart Madzayo will take over as secretary being  ,deputized by Lamu west Mp Stanley Muthama .
Mombasa senator Mohamed Fakii will act as the legal advisor  together with the Kilifi senator .

Wario said that  the coastal legislators will work together despite the political affiliations they are allied to for the benefit of the residents in the region.

“The coastal region will walk together as a unified block regardless of party affiliations as we seek to improve the livelihoods pf our people.”Wario said

He pointed that as leaders they have no problem if  leaders from the Coast decide to back William Ruto’s   2022 presidency bid  insisting that such cooperation is cardinal to the development of the region.

The MP downplayed any rift in ODM over Malindi member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa ‘s decision to support Ruto indicating that the group has served with formal communication on the same.
