Nairobi, KENYA: The National Youth Service NYS suspects can now smile after the Milimani law court decided to grant them bail.

Judge Hedwig Ong’udi while making the ruling on Tuesday, ordered the suspect to be released on a bail of sh. 1 million cash and a bond of sh. 5million or surety of 2 million each, until the case is heard and determined.

The court has however, warned the suspects not to make any contacts with the witnesses to avoid interfering with the case.

The suspects will be forced also to surrender their passports to the court and are also barred from accessing their office without police officers involvement.

They are also expected to report to the Director of Criminal Investigation DCI office once every week pending their trial.

Justice Ongudi also ordered that the suspects should not leave the jurisdiction of the Nairobi chief Anti-corruption court without the court’s approval and to always appear in all the mentions and case proceedings whenever called upon.
