A Nigerian businessman over the weekend buried his father in a brand new BMW X6 with an estimated street value of sh 8.9 million.

The businessman identified as Azubuike chose the flashy vehicle in place of a coffin as a fulfillment of a promise he had made to his father.

According to Nigerian media, the wealthy businessman had made a promise to buy his father who died of old age a flash car.

Unfortunately, his father died before he could fulfill that promise but that did not deter the businessman from fulfilling the promise.

Nigerian media reported that the man choose a BMW X6 as it is equipped with Satelite Navigation so as to help him navigate the gates of heaven.

Images that have since gone viral on social media show the pallbearers trying to position the grey vehicle on two logs placed over the grave.

The burial took place in Ihiala village, Anambra state in central Nigeria.

Cases of people burying their kin with luxurious items are not unique.

In 2016, yet another Nigerian man buried his mother in a brand new Hummer while closer back home, friends and relatives of late Ugandan tycoon Ivan SSemwanga who is Zari Hassan’s ex-husband buried him with champagne and cash.
