Kilifi,KENYA: Property of unknown value has been destroyed after fire gutted a dormitory at Chumani mixed Secondary School in Kilifi County.
According to teachers, the fire started on Monday night before razing the male student’s dormitory.
However, there were no casualties in the fire incident, according to Chumani school principal Rachel Kazungu who spoke to Baraka FM on phone.
Ms Kazungu said all properties in the dormitory were reduced to ashes.
“We really don’t know what happened.We were concerned with the safety of the students firs.We will launch investigations later,’ she said.
However, a teacher who requested anonymity, alleged that the students had earlier threatened to burn a dormitory .
