Nairobi, KENYA: National men’s Rugby sevens team Shujaa has been pooled in a tough group in the last leg of the World Series to be held in Paris, France on 8-10 June.

The Innocent Simiyu charges are in Pool A alongside series leaders Fiji, third-placed New Zealand and Samoa who sit 10th in the 16-team table standings.

Pool C sees Ireland fresh from their surprise bronze medal triumph in London take on Australia, Wales and Spain. In Pool D hosts France is drawn with England, Argentina and USA.

Shujaa, however, remains optimistic of coming at least second in the pool after gaining confidence from last weekend’s London Sevens where they lifted the Challenge Trophy after seeing off Wales 33-19 in the finals.

The victory saw Kenya collect eight points taking its tally to 101, surpassing the 100 point mark for the first ever, a feat the country has been chasing since it started participating in the World Series.
