Kwale,KENYA: Two people have been shot dead along the Kwale-Kombani road at Old Trafford bus stage in Tsimba Golini ward, Matuga sub county by unknown assailants.
According to witnesses, the two; one a bodaboda cyclist, had left Kwale posta stage some few minutes before the incident occurred and were heading to Ukunda.
Eye witnesses on Tuesday said they heard gun shots and then a blast and thought it was a normal accident.
Some few meters from the scene cartridges were found scattered on the road.
Unconfirmed reports say that one of the deceased had just attended a case at the Kwale courts and was heading to his home.
Kwale CEC for health Francis Gwama among other county leaders who were at the scene was yet to give a statement concerning the incident by the time the story was published.
Kwale county commissioner Karuku Ngumo is yet to give a statement on the same issue.
The two bodies have been taken to Msambweni hospital mortuary for a postmortem.
