Nairobi, KENYA: Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General Wilson Sossion, has been blocked from entering his office at KNUT headquarters on Monday by unknown people.
Sossion was forced to read a court order to them to prove that he still holds office lawfully but it was all in vain as the unknown people continued to block his way to the office.
Addressing members of the press at the scene in Nairobi, the outspoken secretary general vowed not to be shaken by some officials who ousted him.
“I am legally in the office. Let them honor the court order that restored me after the unjustified coup,” He lamented.
It will be remembered that on Saturday, a section of the unions National Executive Council members ousted Sossion and then sworn in his deputy, Hezbon Otieno as the acting secretary general.
Sossion had earlier received advice from Knut officials from Rift Valley region, to resist any move to remove him unconstitutionally and further warned those behind the plan to oust him out to stop it before the annual delegates’ conference in June which will determine his fate.
