Bongo artiste Diamond Platnumz has finally come out to apologize for the explicit videos he posted on his social media platform.
He was arrested on Monday after public outcry.
Tanzania’s Information and culture minister Dr. Harrison Mwakyeba told parliament that Diamond would be prosecuted for violating the country’s accepted moral standards.
Diamond had posted videos of himself canoodling with Hamisa Mobetto and a Caucasian woman in the videos he shared online.
Diamond was finally freed on bail pending investigations.He held a press conference on Thursday to address the public over the videos he posted.

The ‘African Beauty’ hitmaker said he demonstrated irresponsibility on his part for posting the video. He earnestly apologized for his irresponsible action.
“I’ve had a long conversation with the authorities and I have learned that what I did was not right. As a role model to many young people, not just in Tanzania but across the continent, posting a private moment was irresponsible of me,” said Diamond.
