Nairobi KENYA: National men’s soccer team Harambee Stars has dropped eight places in the latest FIFA Rankings.

According to the standings released by the World football governing body FIFA on Thursday Kenya is ranked 113th from position 105 it held in March.

This can be attributed to Stars’ dismal performance in last month’s international friendly matches where it drew 2-2 with Comoros before losing 3-2 to lowly ranked Central African Republic.

Meanwhile Uganda remains the best team in East Africa at position 74 globally while Tanzania moved up nine places to position 137.

Defending champions Germany retains the top spot globally despite losing 1-0 to second place Brazil last month with Belgium, Portugal and Argentina wrapping up the best five teams in the world.
