Nairobi,KENYA:A section of members of parliament from western have slammed the planned merger between Ford Kenya and Amani National Congress parties led by Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi respectively.
In a media briefing at parliamentary buildings the MP’s led by Sirisia legislator John Walukhe slammed the anticipation of such a merger terming it as self driven initiative.
Walukhe said that the merger is meant to divide the residents in the region which is also against the spirit of Unity.
He further said that leaders should avoid engaging in politics during this time instead focus on developmental projects to uplift the livehoods of Kenyans .
The legislators urged the duo to cooperate with the government in bid to enhance projects in the country and improve unity and cohesion among Kenyans.
“We cannot jump out of the government and Join something we don’t know .We remain in this government because we fought for and Jubilee remains a big party.”He said
Wetangula and Mudavadi have been reportedly accusing NASA
leader Raila Odinga of betraying them and vowed not to allow disunity among the Luhyas ahead of 2022 elections.
They accused Raila of turning against his own friends and political allies in NASA.
