Kilifi,KENYA: Hundreds of fans turned up for bango music event organized by coast leading station Baraka fm in Kilifi’s Mnarani club.
Fans started arriving as early as 6pm two hours to the official kick off of the event.
According to some bango fans, they had travelled as far as Mombasa and Malindi to dance to their favourite tunes.
“I have come all the way from Ngomeni in Malindi just to dance to my favourite band-Kaya international-who i follow almost everywhere they go”,said Liz Kenga, an ardent “bango addict”.
Popular Utamaduni band and much sought after Kaya International band together with upcoming musician Ricky Melodies entertained fans in turns.
Baraka Fm has cut a niche in events organization boasting of several bango music events to its name.
Popular bango presenter Mnyazi Kakinda was well received when she introduced herself to the jubilant Baraka FM fans.
Indeed it was a night to remember for Kilifi fans as they ushered Easter holidays.
