Nairobi,KENYA:Self proclaimed NRM General Miguna Miguna has claimed that he was drugged and put  on emirates EK 722 flying from Nairobi to Dubai on Wednesday evening.

In a statement written from Dubai, Miguna says that 50 men broke into a room where he was being detained at the JKIA Terminal 2 and injected him with a substance which left him unconscious.

“About 50 heavily armed thugs led by the uniformed Somali policeman who had commanded them on Monday, violently broke into the toilet I had been detained incommunicado in at the Jomo Kenyatta Airport, didn’t identify themselves, wrestled me to the ground, held onto and sat on me as a group of four different thugs injected substances to both my soles, arms, hands, both sides of my ribs and basically all over my body until I passed out.” Reads part of the statement from Miguna Miguna.

Miguna says he only regained consoiusness at 5.00 am when the plane landed  in Dubai and passengers started disembarking.

“Three burley men dressed in Air Emirates yellow reflector jackets approached me and rudely demanded that I disembark from the plane. The most obnoxious one introduced himself as “Njihia”, he claimed that a bunch of loose papers he held in his hands were my “documents.” Miguna added.

Miguna claims that  a doctor in the UAE has confirmed  that he was indeed drugged and he sustained injuries that are causing pains in his chest, left wrist, right elbow and feet.

On Wednesday high court judge Justice Odunga  said the interior Cabinet secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i , the inspector general of police Joseph Boinnet and the Director of Immigration services Gordon Kihalangwa would be sentenced after defying a court order to appear in court for the hearing of Miguna Miguna’s citizenship row case.

Miguna Miguna had been detained at the Jomo Kenyatta international airport since Monday when he landed after spending more than a month in Canada,Germany and the United Kingdom following  his dramatic deportation in late February.
