Two suspected gang members gunned down in Likoni

Mombasa, KENYA: Special crime prevention police unit have shot dead two suspected criminal gang members of chafu za dogs in Likoni, Mombasa.

The two were killed in Mtongwe area Tuesday afternoon as police intensify a crackdown on illegal criminal gangs.

Police said four other suspected criminals escaped the police raid, the suspects had allegedly planned to carry out a robbery in an unknown area in the sub-county.

Police seized several machetes from the gangs and a motorcycle.

This brings to five, the number of criminal Ganges killed in Likoni alone in a period of one week.
