Mombasa, KENYA: Bandari FC midfielder Anthony Wambani is the Kenya Premier League best player for the month of February.
Wambani scooped the Sports Journalists Association of Kenya SJAK organized award after garnering 18 votes beating Meddie Kagere of Gor Mahia and Mathare United’s Chrispin Oduor who got 16 and 14 votes respectively.
The 19-year old sparkled in Bandari’s unbeaten run in Febraury scoring thrice in four matches where the Dockers managed two victories and two draws.
With the success he took home Sh100,000, a 42-inch LG Tv screen and a personalized trophy with Bandari receiving Sh50,000 for his services.
He becomes the first player to receive the SJAK monthly accolade for the 2018 season which enters its match-week six this weekend.
