Sydney; AUSTRALIA: National men’s rugby sevens team Shujaa lost 7-5 to Argentina in the opening match of the third leg of the World Sevens Series that kicked off at Allianz Stadium, Sydney Friday morning.
Shujaa trailed Argentina 7-0 in the first stanza before veteran Andre Amonde brought Kenya back into the game with a try, which did not troubled Argentina who hold on to emerge victors.
The defeat leaves Kenya in a tricky situation since they will now have to beat Wales and France on Saturday to revive her hopes of qualifying to main cup quarters.
Kenya is 11th in the 16-team table standings with 13 points after two legs of the series.
