Word on the street has it that Wasafi record label CEO Diamond Platnumz has delayed the release of his collabo with American rapper Rick Ross due to Ali Kiba .

According to reports doing rounds in Tanzania, Diamond choose to do so to avoid clashing with Ali Kiba who dropped two new songs earlier in the week just days after Diamond dropped new songs ‘Sikomi’ and ‘Niache’.

On Wednesday Diamond’s arch-rival Ali Kiba dropped the unofficial release of his much anticipated music video ‘Maumivu everyday’.

According to Kiba he decided to drop the song on Wednesday to treat his fans during his birthday,a statement which left so many speculating that,it was a calculated move to counter Diamond’s songs.

However Diamond’s management has refused to explain in detail why the song dubbed ‘Waka’ was not dropped on 1st December instead citing unavoidable circumstances as the reason.

Through Diamond’s manager Salam SK, the management says fans will be notified about the song’s release date once they sought out everything.

“Tunaomba Msamaha Wimbo wa #Waka ulitakuwa kutoka siku ya leo kutokana na sababu zilizo nje ya uwezo wetu kwahiyo hautaweza kutoka leo lakini muda sio mrefu tutawajuza!! Sorry for any inconvenience,(We apologize that we cannot release waka today as promised due to circumstances beyond us but we will communicate when everything is okay)” Salam SK wrote in a statement .

Diamond is said to have shot the video for the song a few weeks ago in the US together with Rick ross who is his fellow brand ambassador for French wine Belaire Rose.
