Middle aged man hacked to death in Kwale


Kwale, KENYA: A middle aged man has been found dead after being hacked with sharp objects by unknown muggers in Rombo village Kasemeni ward in Kinango Sub County of Kwale County.

According to witnesses, the man named Hamisi Geu was heard shouting for help on Monday evening at about 9 pm, before he was found lying lifeless a few meters from his home with a number of panga cuts sported on his body.

The area village chairman Said Mcharo told Baraka FM it was not immediately known who committed the crime but the deceased had a record of theft cases in the area chiefs office.

Police who spoke to Baraka FM on Tuesday  said they did not find any person at the scene but they found a mobile phone at the scene and they have launched investigations.

The body of the deceased has been taken to Kinango hospital mortuary for an autopsy.
