Mombasa, KENYA: A police officer was on Wednesday charged in a Mombasa high court for allegedly killing a man.
Stephen Omondi allegedly shot dead Jackson Mwangi under unclear circumstances on the night of 17th October 2017.
Mr. Omondi denied charges before Lady Justice Dora Chepkwony and was released on a surety bond of sh.500, 000.
It is alleged that Mr.Mwangi was shot at Changamwe roadblock when he defied police orders to stop.
The case is set for hearing on 8th March 2018.
