Murang’a, KENYA: Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru was Tuesday morning seriously injured together with his driver, after being involved in a grisly road accident at Makenji, Murang’a County.
The governor was taken to Thika Level 5 Hospital awaiting transfer.
Governor Gakuru was traveling to Nairobi for a talk show.
According to witnesses, the driver was rescued with crushed legs but another passenger was still stuck in the vehicle.
The bodyguard was also injured in the accident
Kenya Redcross updated on Twitter that 3 passengers who were in critical condition were rushed to Thika Level 5 hospital.
