Nairobi,KENYA: Opposition chief Raila Odinga has said he is turning the National super alliance (Nasa) coalition to a national resistance movement.
Addressing his supporters in Nairobi, Raila said time has come for his supporters to fight for democracy while accusing President Uhuru Kenyatta of dictatorship.
“ Kuanzia kesho tutabadilisha sasa, sasa itakuwa vuguvugu la ukombozi. Hatuta heshimu serikali dhalimu ambayo haitachaguliwa kulingana na katiba ya nchi yetu”, he said (From tomorrow, Nasa will be a resistance movement. We will not respect a government that is not elected according to the constitution).
He also accused the jubilee regime for the murder of former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) ICT manager Chris Msando .
Mr Odinga further stated that he will not recognize the jubilee administration terming the repeat presidential polls slated for tomorrow as a jubilee affair.
“Tomorrow they will defy the ruling of the highest court in the land and conduct sham elections ”, he said.
He also urged his supporters to stay away from polling stations tomorrow alleging that the government is planning to massacre opposition supporters.
“We are aware that the regime is planning to use every excuse to massacre our people. We must deny them that chance”, said Mr Odinga.
