5 feared dead in Helicopter crash in Lake Nakuru

Nakuru,KENYA:5 people are feared dead after a helicopter plunged in Lake Nakuru in Nakuru County.

According to a statement from the Kenya Civil aviation authority the KCAA initial indications indicate that there are no survivors.

“There were 5 people on board –a male pilot,including three male passengers and one female passenger”. The KCAA wrote in a statement.

The authority further dismissed the rumors that were doing rounds that the helicopter belonged to president Uhuru Kenyatta.

“We wish to clarify that the helicopter is owned and operated by flex air charters run by capt Bootsy Mutiso contrary to media reports that it belongs to HE the president Uhuru Kenyatta.” The authority has said.

Reports indicate that the helicopter took off from the Jarika county lodge in the morning and was flying to Narok where president Uhuru Kenyatta was scheduled to hold a rally.

Nakuru senator Susan Kihika confirmed that 3 of those who were in the chopper were members of her media team.
