Nairobi, KENYA: National Super Alliance flag-bearer Raila Odinga has said he will no be participating  in the October 26 repeat presidential elections.

During a press briefing in Nairobi on Teusday, Odingaannounced that his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka will also not take part in the repeat election scheduled for October 26.

“After deliberating on our position in respect of the upcoming election, considering the interests of the people of Kenya, the region and the world at large, we believe that all will be best served by Nasa vacating its presidential candidature in the election scheduled for 26 October 2017,” said Mr Odinga.

Mr. Odinga said  the Jubilee administration’s amendment to the Electoral laws demonstrate that they are not committed to a credible election.

NASA have urged IEBC to call of the repeat elections and conduct fresh nominations.

“We require IEBC to cancel the election and conduct fresh nominations.” Said Musalia Mudavadi.
