Bangkok, THAILAND: Kenya’s Harambee Stars will sum up its Asian tour with a friendly match against Thailand on Sunday barely two days after losing 2-1 to Iraq in another test match.

Stars who are preparing for the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers on Thursday fall to Iraq who are already through to the 2018 Russian World Cup.

The hosts were 2-0 up heading to the breather and were determined to repeat the 2003 success where they edged Stars with the same margin.

That however turned futile when Spanish based forward Michael Olunga grabbed a late consolation for Kenya with a long range strike reducing the deficit to 2-1.

The defeat came on the back on a 2-1 stumbling Kenya suffered against Sierra Leone in their opening match of the qualifiers, leaving head coach Stanley Okumbi with a task of organizing his troop well before facing off with Thailand on Sunday.

Harambee Stars will tackle Black Stars of Ghana away in Accra in March in their second match of the continental showpiece qualifiers.
