Nairobi,KENYA:NASA co principal Moses Wetangula’s bodyguard Simon Lonyia has appeared at the Mlimani law courts in Nairobi where he was charged with forcing his way into the Supreme Court.

Appearing before Mlimani chief magistrate Francis Andenyi, Lonyia denied all the charged read out before him.

The bodyguard was released on a bond of 20,000.

Trouble for the bodyguard started when he was barred from accesing the Supreme court where the presidential petition hearings were being held.

This caused an altercation between security officers manning the gate and several NASA allied politicians amongst them the NASA flagbearer Raila Odinga who demanded to have bodyguard allowed to enter the Supreme court.

Yesterday reports emerged that the bodyguard had been fired from the police service but the assistant IG George Kinoti has denied those claims with Wetangula being quoted by a local TV station saying that he would go to court to block the police service from firing his body guard.

The case is set for hearing on 18th September.
