One suspected militant has been killed in an attack on a police station on Thursday morning.
According to police sources who spoke to Baraka FM on condition of anonymity, the more than 50 militants attempted to attack Lafey police station in Mandera county but police managed to repulse them.
However, the source confirmed that the militants had managed to escape with a police vehicle.
The attack comes a few hours after suspected Alshabaab militants attacked a bus in Lamu county with unconfirmed reports stating that 3 people were killed in the attack.
