Two foreigners nabbed with heroin worth 4M in Nyali, Mombasa

Mombasa, KENYA: Anti-narcotics police have seized heroin drugs worth sh. 4M and arrested two foreigners in Nyali, Mombasa.

The suspects were nabbed at a hotel in Nyali as they were packing the drugs in their suitcase in the 12am raid.

A special team from anti-narcotics officers from headquarters had been trailing the suspects.

The suspects are Gageche Patience,39 and Chukwe James 48.

Kisauni police boss Christopher Rotich on Friday told Baraka FM he was aware of the arrest but had no details.

“We have heard of the same but I have no information may be later we could have gathered something.” Said Rotich.

Baraka FM has learnt that officers in Mombasa had no clue of the arrest as the operation was done by a special team from headquarters.

It has also emerged that Interpol police had been engaged in the operation.

Anti-narcotics head Hamis Massa confirmed to Baraka FM  that the two are Nigerians and police had trailed them for along time.

“We think they have a relationship and we have established that they are Nigerians. We are now weighing and sampling the drugs but we suspect it to be heroin. ” Said  Massa.
