Kenya moves up four places in latest FIFA Rankings

Nairobi, KENYA: Kenya’s Harambee Stars has moved up four places to position 74 in the latest FIFA Ranking released by the world governing body on Thursday. Brazil, who climbed to the top of the rankings for the first time in seven years in March, stayed at the top, followed by Argentina and the reigning world champions Germany.

Chile and Colombia complete the top five, ahead of France, Belgium and 2016 UEFA European Championship winners Portugal in that order.

Egypt retains top spot in Africa followed by Senegal, Cameroon, Nigeria and DRC Congo respectively as the best ranked team in the continent.

In the East Africa region CECAFA Uganda occupies two places ahead of Kenya with Ethiopia coming third followed by Rwanda in fourth.

Harambee Stars’ opponent in the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers Ghana and Sierra Leone are placed 49th and 113th globally.
