Gor Mahia floors Bandari 2-1 in Mombasa

Mombasa,KENYA:Bandari FC succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at home to Gor Mahia in a Kenyan Premier League midweek fixture staged at Mbaraki Stadium Mombasa on Wednesday.

Two goals apiece from Noah Wafula and Ugandan defender cum winger Geoffrey Walumbi is all that K’ogalo needed to return to Nairobi with maximum points.

Meanwhile, Bandari who suffered their second defeat in succession got their consolation through defender Noach Abich who scored from the spot after skipper Musa Muhammed was charged for fouling Shaban Kenga in the box.

In other day’s matches the reigning champions Tusker overcame Nakumatt FC 2-1, Nzoia Sugar stunned hosts Western Stima 2-0 as Kariobangi Sharks edged Thika United 1-0.

Elsewhere, Ulinzi Stars saw their unbeaten run in the league halted by Kakamega Homeboyz in a 1-0 beating while Mathare United and Chemelil Sugar played out to a barren draw.
