Sarah who was born in Britain got a standing ovation from no nonsense judge Simon Cowell who innitialy seemed skeptical on her vocal ability warning her that the song was one of the greatest songs ever done.
The teen is in year 11 studying for her IGSE and according to reports by the daily mail, she was groomed by her Kenyan parents who have encouraged her to sing in church and take part in competitions.
She has previously won talent shows at her school Hazeley Academy known as H-factor at the age of 14 and the Milton Keynes young musician of the year award.
Reports indicate that when she was younger, Ikumu moved back to Kenya with her parents for two and half years where she schooled at the Riara Springs school and continued with her singing before moving back to Britain.
Simon Cowell pressing the golden buzzer for the teen singer sends her direct to the semifinals and she is the only one so far among the 10 contestants who performed on the 1st week of the show to get to the semifinals.
