Taveta Mp Naomi Shaban has quit the Jubilee party ahead of the Friday 21th party primaries.
In her resignation letter to the party officials, the legislator stated that the decision was arrived at due to unavoidable circumstances.
Dr. Shaban who is also the deputy majority leader in the national assembly now intends to defend her seat as an independent candidate
Shaban was elected to parliament in 2002, and has been Jubilee ally, she was the only legislator elected on a Jubilee Alliance ticket at the Coast region in 2013.
She was to contest for the jubilee party nomination ticket at her Taveta constituency backyard with Mike Banton.
Taita Taveta Senator Dan Mwanzo and women rep Joyce Lay had just joined her in the Jubilee party last month.
