Modern Coast Rangers maul Ushuru 3-1 to move third

Mombasa. KENYA: Modern Coast Rangers has moved up to third in the National Super League standings following a 3-1 victory over hosts Ushuru FC on Monday at Thika Stadium.

A second half hat-trick from new recruit Abdalla Mdeka saw Rangers rally from a goal down to record a convincing victory that left them title contenders.

Ushuru had taken an early lead through Lwamba Babeto who converted from the spot after Rangers were charged for fouling in the box.

With the success Ranger sits third on 11 points, one shy of leaders GFE 100 and second placed Nairobi University’s Wazito FC who are separated by goal differences.

In other day’s matches, Paloc FC and Nakuru AllStars shared the spoils in a one all draw at Kisumu Stadium, while Ministry of Sports, Arts and Culture (MOSCA) and Agrochemicals drew 2-2 at Camp Toyoyo, Nairobi.
