
Mombasa,KENYA:Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho says he will continue holding rallies in the country despite disruptions of his meetings.
Addressing the press after inspecting the Tononoka grounds in Mombasa on Friday, Joho said its unfortunate that the police officers disrupt their meetings instead of giving them maximum security.
‘We want to warn you from today(Jubilee), we have notified you,our expectations is them giving us the security failure to that we shall provide our security’, said Joho.
The flamboyant Governor said that they do not need to seek for permission to hold rallies but instead it is the duty of police officers to give security.
This comes after his meeting was disrupted by GSU officers in Kinango constituency Kwale county on Thursday.
Another meeting was also brought into chaos by enraged youths in Mpeketoni in Lamu county.
The ODM fraternity is expected to hold a political rally at Tononoka on Sunday 26th with party leader Raila Odinga expected to attend.
The ODM deputy party leader said a major announcements shall be made during the their Sunday meeting.
