Kilifi,KENYA:Police in Kilifi have retrieved body of an unidentified man who is said to have drowned in Mnarani,Old ferry in Kilifi County .
The body was retrieved on Wednesday after the police were noticed by fishermen who saw the body during their fishing duty.
Speaking to the media in his office early on Thursday, Kilifi deputy OCPD Peter Mutuma said the incident occurred a few days back.
Mutuma said the name and other details of identity of the deceased are still anonymous. The body was retrieved in the wee hours of the Thursday morning during police patrol along the sand beaches of Mnarani Old ferry.
In another occasion a body of a woman said to have committed suicide has been found at Mikoani Village in Kikambala earlier on Thursday.
Naomi Murisivo 32, is said to have hanged herself outside their home in the night hours of Thursday.
The cause of the death is yet to be established as the family members are were not in a position speak more on the incident.
The bodies of the deceased are preserved at the Kilifi County hospital mortuary pending postmortem.
