Mombasa, KENYA: Kenya Ports Authority KPA Inter Departmental games’ curtains came down over the weekend with Terminal Operations team claiming men’s soccer title by smacking Security department 2-0 in the finals at the KPA Mbaraki stadium.
Athman Kibwana and Abdullahi Salim found the back of the net to help Operations successfully defend the title they won last year.
Elsewhere, Marine finished third following a 2-1 win over Terminal Engineering in the third playoff match, thanks to goals from Said Mavuno and Raphael Okello.
The winner and runners up were accorded trophies and medals in appreciations of their performances by KPA Operations Manager Sudi Mwasinago who graced the occasion on behalf of Managing Director Catherine Muturi.
KPA Inter Departmental Games are held annually by the authorities with an aim to promote a healthy and friendly working environment for its workers.
