Mombasa, KENYA: A suspected criminal gang member was on Wednesday killed by a mob in the tourist site of old town in Mombasa, after he tried attacking the locals.
According to witnesses, the suspect who was armed with machetes and other crude weapons, was in a group of other six suspects who were in a mission to Rob and attack the locals..
His gang members managed to escape leaving him cornered and he was descended upon by the public who killed him on the spot.
The area chief Ahmed Abdurhaman told Baraka FM that the suspect has been on the police wanted’s list for a long time.
” He belonged to the Wakalikwanza group and he is from Sargoi here in old town.” Said Ahmed.

The body was taken to Coast General morgue as police launched investigations.
