Kilifi,KENYA: Kilifi North Mp Gideon Mung’aro has vowed to liberate Kilifi from the leadership of Governor Amason Kingi; whom he claims is controlled by his Mombasa counterpart Governor Ali Joho.

According to Mung’aro who is also Jubilee’s coast chief campaigner,  governor Kingi has just been watching while governor Joho controls the day to day’s business running in the county.

Hon. Mungaro who was addressing Kilifi residents during a rally over the weekend, claimed that loss of Kilifi’s independence has hampered development growth in the county.

“Its unfortunate that our dear county has lost its independence to the poor leadership and vision less Mombasa governor Hassan Joho who has been controlling its day to day running from Mombasa, while our governor is just watching and dancing to his tune”.  Said Mung’aro.

Mung’aro asked the residents to be careful when selecting leaders so that they don’t end up with such kind of leadership.

He also asked governor  Kingi to explain to his constituents why a few weeks ago he went ahead to support Joho who according to security apparatuses, had invaded a police station demanding the release of an accused drug baron.
