According the league governing body KPL. the decision has been reached as per the request of broadcasters SuperSport until when the league fixtures will be out.

The DStv Super Cup which serves as the leagues’ curtain raiser, is a Kenyan football championship contested by the winners of the Kenyan Premier League and the Gotv Shield cup.

Elsewhere, the rift between KPL and the federation FKF took another twist on Tuesday after the two sides failed to iron out their differences over the number of teams to feature in the league next season.

The pair had agreed last week on the composition 18-team league with FKF accepting to cough sh. 69 million as had been demanded by KPL to cater for the two extra teams.

In the turn of events, KPL on Tuesday declined to disclose the financial details of their contracts with the sponsors, forcing Sports Tribunal to grant them until Thursday next week to present the required documents to settle the stand-off.
