A woman escaped death by a whisker after a vehicle she was driving plunged into the sea at Makupa causeway, Mombasa County.
According to an eyewitness, the vehicle which was heading to Mombasa lost control before hitting a barricade and plunging into the sea at Kibarani area next to the Kenya meat company.
Her son who was also in the vehicle managed to jump out of the vehicle before it plunged into the sea.
Police and members of the public retrieved the car from the ocean.
