Portugal and Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for coronavirus.

The Portugal Football Federation (FPF) has announced in a statement.

The 35-year-old is “doing well, without symptoms, and in isolation,” read part of the statement.

While in self-isolation, Ronaldo is set to miss Wednesday’s Nations League group game against Sweden.

He is also set to miss Juventus’ Serie A fixture at Crotone on 17th October and the opening Champions League group game against Dynamo Kiev on 20th October.

Ronaldo posted a selfie with the Portugal squad on social media on Monday night with the caption “United on and off the field!”

However, the remainder of Fernando Santos’ Portugal squad have tested negative for COVID-19 and are available for selection.
