The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has summoned 10 people including Saudi Arabia Ambassador to Kenya Ambassador Mohamed Mahad to record a statement over misappropriation of funds at the Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM).

The 10 are expected to appear for an interview and statement recording at the Directorate office situated along Kiambu road from 11th June to 16th June.

“In this regard, we would like to summon the following for interview and statement recording Hassan Ole Nado, Ambassador Mohamed Mahad, Mundhar Khitami, Bakari Chemswet, Abdullahi Salat, Abdallah Ali, Mohamed Washala, Yussuf Mwarabwa, Yussuf Nzibo, and Ali Golicha” read the summons.

The summons comes after one of the embattled officials requested the DCI to launch investigations into the dealings of the council.

Secretary to the Council Mustapha Tobiko Ole Tampul had requested the DCI  to conduct an investigation into activities by the acting chairman, secretary-general, treasurer, organizing secretary, and members of the National Executive Committee.
