Baraka FM’s Tulizo and Shika mo Sunday host Francis Mandi is a man who has added an accolade to his name.
This is after he was named as the gospel presenter of the year at the just concluded Injili music awards.
The awards that brought together top gospel acts from Kenya and Tanzania saw Mandi floor nine others to bag the coveted award.
The awards were held at the Mombasa JCC church.
For Mandi who started his career in Shahidi FM in Isiolo back in 2015, the award could not come at a better time.
“I feel encouraged and excited that I have been recognized, i didn’t expect the award, but when i heard my name being called as the winner, i didn’t believe it. “An elated Mandi said.
Mandi joined the Baraka FM team July 2018 and took over from his predecessor Rehema Gambo in 2019.
Other winners include: Donatha George won the gospel artiste of the year in the Kenyan category, DJ Lonez who bagged the DJ of the year award while Tabitha Mkanyika bagged the Female model of the year award.
