Mombasa, KENYA: Policemen in Mombasa are investigating a case in which one of their own committed suicide at the Mombasa Port.
The officer identified as Charles Ndolo committed suicide inside a toilet on Saturday morning.
Ndolo who was found lying in a pool of blood committed suicide by shooting himself on the head.
According to the Kilindini OCPD Patrick Lobolia the officer had used his AK-47 gun to commit the suicide.
The body of the deceased was taken to the Jocham hospital Mortuary.
This comes amidst concerns on the rising cases of police officers committing suicide.
Last month, a police officer attached to the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet’s office committed suicide after shooting himself while on leave in Narok county.
