Nairobi, KENYA: Two Members of Parliament from NASA coalition Simba Arati of Dagoretti North and Babu Owino of Embakasi East, have said their lives are in danger.

Confirming this during a press briefing at parliamentary buildings on Wednesday, Minority leader in the National Assembly John Mbadi said that the two members are on the spot and are being targeted.

“We have information that two of our colleagues’ lives are under threat, the honorable Babu Owino and honorable Simba Arati, are being targeted .”Mbadi said

They accused an influential Cabinet Secretary in the Jubilee administration whom they accuse of masterminding such threats.

“There is a CS who is hellbent ?or purported to be cabinet secretary of illegitimate government .we have credible information that he is targeting and threatening lives of these two colleagues.”He said.

Mbadi slammed the government for disregarding court orders especially on issues related to release of NRM leader Miguna Miguna and the government’s failure to switch on the Television stations which were shut down.

He also blasted the government for deporting Miguna Miguna to Canada following the fact that Miguna was born in Kenya.

Mbadi termed such move as retrogressive which flouts the fundamental human rights and the constitution.

“Miguna Miguna has even been deported in contravention of article 14, 16 and 17 of the constitution protecting citizens by birth  being stripped from them.” Mbadi said.

The legislators threatened that if the government will continue to disregard laws, they will be prompted to rally their supporters to disregard laws.
