Judiciary not notified of Raila Odinga’s ‘swearing in’

Mombasa,KENYA:Chief registar of the judiciary Ann Amadi  has said that the Judiciary is not notified on the inauguration ceremony planned by the opposition party National Super Alliance (NASA).

Amadi was responding to a question asked by a journalist on whether the judiciary was aware of the opposition plan to swear in opposition leader Raila Odinga as the president and if they will take part in the event.

Mr.Odinga had told his supporters that he will be sworn in on Jamhuri day as the president of the republic of Kenya.

Addressing  his supporters on Manyanja roa d in Donholm during inauguration ceremony of president Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday, Mr. Odinga announced that he will be sworn in by the people’s assembly.

“They have sworn-in Uhuru as President. We will also have a swearing-in” said Odinga.

The law requires president elect sworn in by the chief judiciary register before chief justice of the republic of Kenya.
