Makueni,KENYA:Four people have been confirmed dead and more than 11 injured in an accident at Salama area of Makueni county along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway.
According to the area police boss Charles Muthui, the accident occurred when a bus from Mombasa that was attempting to overtake rammed into a stationary lorry.
The more than 10 people who were injured in the incident were rushed to the Machakos level 5 hospital.
The bus which belongs to the Deluxe bus company has been towed to the Salama police post.
This comes just a few days after commuters on the same road were stuck for more than 18 hours after flood water submerged the Sultan Hamud bridge.
