Nairobi,KENYA:Kenyan Premier League champions Tusker FC has sacked four players citing surplus to requirement at the Ruaraka outfit.

Ekalian Ndolo who is former KPL Player of the Year, top the list with Ugandan pair of Moses Ndawula and Robert Omnuk as casualties.

Former Bandari player Victor Ndinya who joined the champions at the start of the season has also been sacked.

Confirming the foregoing, Brewers’ Chair, Daniel Aduda said it was the sensible thing to do instead of waiting until the last minute and that the move was taken to accord the dropped players sufficient time to hunt for new clubs.

“We have been reviewing and assessing the team as the season nears its end and we thought it is wise to notify player whom we don’t intend to keep next year to start looking for the team they can join” said Aduda.

“The four had been given a notice by the club and they remain in our books until when the time of their contract elapses” he added

Whereas Ndinya and Ndawula last for only a season, Omnuk and Ndolo have stayed in the club for more than two seasons.

Tursker FC is currently third in the KPL table with 50 points, same as Posta rangers but on goal difference.

Champions Gor mahia FC tops the table with 70 points.
