London, ENGLAND: Craig Shakespeare has been sacked as Leicester City manager barely four months after being handed the job on permanent basis.

Shakespeare succeeded Claudio Ranieri on interim terms last season and would then guide the club to avoid relegation after a poor campaign that saw them finish 12th.

Nevertheless, after a one all draw at home to West Bromwich Monday night, a result that left the former champions languishing in bottom three, the club could not hesitate but part ways with Shakespeare.

Leicester, who have won only one league game this season, are the second Premier League club to sack a manager this season following Crystal Palace’s decision to replace Frank de Boer with Roy Hodgson after only four games.
