Following the shooting of controversial Tanzanian legislator Tundu Lissu near his house in the Tanzanian administrative capital of Dares Salaam on Thursday, several Tanzanian celebrities have reacted to the incident.
Celebrities like Ladyjaydee, Kala Jeremiah,Diamond Platnumz,Wema Sepetu, and Idris sultan sent ‘get well soon’ messages to the legislator.
“Mwenyezi Mungu aliekuumba akakuinue kutoka kwenye kitanda walichokulaza binadamu tusiowafamu
Huwa tunaamini kwa jina la Baba, la mwana na la roho mtakatifu(May the almighty God who created you held you get from that situation that was put into you by men we have no idea who they are)”Wrote ladyjaydee.
Idris sultan on the other hand urged Tanzanians to put aside party affiliations for the sake of Lissu’s wellbeing.

Tanzanian actress Wema Sepetu who is affiliated to the same party as Lissu the Chama cha demokrasia CHADEMA prayed for him to get well soon complaining over the declining freedom of speech in Tanzania.
Kwanza wamuhangaishe kila kukicha kesi haziishi… Akisema kitu uchochezi, sasa kakataa kukaa kimya ndo wameona wamuue…. NO!!! Watanzania kama tutaendelea kufumbia macho huu uonevu then hatutofika tunapotaka… Kero zinazidi kila kukicha… Ndugu zetu wanaonewa kila kukicha… And wat do we do…? Tundu has since been airlifted to the Aga Khan university hospital in Nairobi where he is undergoing treatment.
Tanzanian president John Pombe Magufuli has ordered security agencies in Tanzania to conduct speedy investigations into the incident.
