Jubilee leaders urge NASA to obey Supreme court ruling

Nairobi, KENYA: As the election mood is revived and activated following the supreme court annulling the just concluded elections and reignite a new one that is to be conducted on 17th of October, leaders from various communities have come out in support of the IEBC to conduct the elections.

Rift valley leaders under Uhuruto Express led by former Baringo Governor Benjamin Chemboi on Tuesday in Nairobi said that the Supreme Court ordered the same body to conduct the re run and that should be respected in totality.

He said that the country has been in elections since the year started and it has extremely affected the economy of the country that has rendered the country in lose.

However, they faulted the NASA coalition for not abiding by the supreme court order that IEBC should carry the election exercise.

The leaders in unison have pledged to campaign for Uhuruto until they retain their seats.

On the other hand, Ukambani Leaders that support the re-election of Uhuruto led by former member of parliament for Makueni Central Joe Mutambo, said that,the date set by the IEBC should be adhered to pave way for students that are about to engage in national exams thereafter.

He said that the country should carry on with their daily activities even when we are about to face another elections that may affect the school curriculum

The leaders however, slammed the Kitui Governor,Charity Ngilu for speaking on behalf of Ukambani leaders citing her words that Uhuru will not garner the votes that he scooped in the last elections and her remarks does not hold water .

The leaders want Ngilu to sort out her differences with the government and not to indulge the Kamba people on the same.
