Tana River,KENYA:At least ten people are feared dead after an accident occured in Bulto Banta near Bangale trading center Tana River county along Garissa – Nairobi highway on Tuesday morning.
Confirming the accident Bura OCPD Mr. Tom Okot told Baraka Fm that the accident occurred when Sabrin bus ferrying passengers from Wajir collided with a Lorry carrying building materials from Nairobi.
The OCPD said those who died were from both vehicles and that six people got injured while twenty four others escaped narrowly.
Those with serious injuries were taken to Garissa hospital for treatment.
Eye witnesses say the bus which was over speeding collided with the Lorry at around 3.00 am almost 10 hours after the bus left Wajir for Nairobi.
